In Smiley's hometown of Worcester, MA there was a celebration of the day with members of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. An official World Smile Day® Celebration was held at Worcester City Hall Plaza (The Common). The South High School Marching Band, the Seven Hills Charter School Chorus, and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus were among the participants.
