On this episode of the Senior Speak, host Edith Morgan returns with Worcester City Councilor-at-Large Moe Bergman to discuss the upcoming Jewish holiday of Passover (or Pesach), a festival that commemorates the enslavement and liberation of the Israelites from ancient Egypt and celebrates their exodus to the "promised land" in the Levant. It serves both as a foundational myth for the Jewish people and the modern state of Israel. For Christians the Seder ritual feast is best known as the setting of Jesus' Last Supper, so it serves as a forerunner to the Easter holidays as well, which in many Christian traditions is still known as 'Pascha' from the Hebrew 'Pesach'.
