On this episode of Perspectives, host Asima Silva interviews Dr. Celene Ibrahim, scholar of Islam, educator, author of Women and Gender in the Qur'an and contributor to the recent hit docudrama from Netflix, Testament: The Story of Moses. They discuss Moses' significance for the Abrahamic religions and how the Exodus, the central myth within the Torah or Hebrew Old Testament, went on to influence Christianity and Islam.
With these beliefs held in common, though details and interpretations may differ, there is hope that they can serve as a basis for peace and understanding between the Abrahamic faiths and a uniting force on the geopolitical stage, particularly in regards to the Israel/Palestine conflict.
