WCCA TV intern Ken Carlson recorded the turkey give-away event held at Lincoln Square Plaza, a collaborative effort between Stop & Shop and Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty's Office. According to the Telegram & Gazette, of the 2,500 turkeys distributed, 1,000 went to families of Worcester Public Schools students, and the rest were given to residents of Lincoln Village, Worcester Housing Authority properties, and local faith-based organizations. Any leftovers were donated to El Buen Samaritano Food Program.
