Human Touch 95 Childhood Trauma

On this episode of the Human Touch, host Augustine Kanjia speaks on the trauma and life-long mental health struggles that many refugees face, but especially affect refugee children. From facing violent circumstances in their home country, to separation from family and friends, to the culture shock of assimilating to a new home, the mental health toll leaves greater scars on the youth, invisible injuries that require years of counseling, therapy, and compassion from parents or guardians, on top of the communal aid that all refugees deserve, in order to fully heal.
