Human Touch 93 Systemic Corruption Pt 2

On this second episode in a two-part series of the Human Touch, host Augustine Kanjia speaks on how systemic corruption has become normalized throughout West Africa, worsening inequality and perpetuating a cruel cycle of underdevelopment in the region. He speaks on how unregulated greed drives not only the private sector, where exploitative agriculture, forestry and mining industries are bent on extracting as much resource wealth as possible from these post-colonial states, but also has infected the public sector, where desperate individuals face extortion at the hands of crooked civil servants, government officials, military, police, and border security officers.
