State Senator Harriette Chandler welcomes Stacey Luster, General Counsel and Assistant to the President at Worcester State University, to discuss the inspiring work and change effected during her tenure at the Worcester Public Schools and now at WSU. Having recently been elected the first Black Woman President of the Worcester County Mechanics Society, they discuss plans to decorate the walls of Mechanics Hall with portraits of African American heroes, who have long lacked the recognition and respect afforded to European Americans.
