About Smart Meters #21

About Smart Meters
Dr. Paul Dart gives a presentation on cell phone tower health hazards in Eugene OR in Dec. 2014, followed by County Commissioner Pete Sorenson discussing community rights. Worcester residents unfortunately were not given the opportunity to vote on the Worcester National Grid smart meter pilot program. The pilot has no health or environmental monitoring component, or anticipatory compensation arrangements in the case of damages. Given that US radio frequency exposure standards are much higher than countries that recognize biological impacts, and that there have been health complaints due to smart meters installations in many states, this is viewed as a grave absence of social and moral responsibility by consumer and human rights activists across the country.
