Building Community
Congratulations ! We are proud to announce that WCCA TV13 and Executive Director Mauro DePasquale have been selected to receive an ‘Action Hero Award’ during the 6th annual Action Hero Awards event held by the Worcester Community Action Council. The event will take place on May 16, 2012 at the Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester. Worcester Community Action Council is giving special recognition to heroes who have contributed to the agency through community outreach and advocacy. WCCA TV – Setting a world-class example in the community!

Communicating History
WCCA TV13 Special Presentation: Producer of ‘Imagine Worcester and the World’, Virginia Swain, interviews the Voices of Worcester Women authors as part of a launch event for the new book. The book will allow readers to share a glimpse into the lives of today’s Worcester women and to learn a bit about their achievements and their struggles 160 years after the First National Woman’s Rights Convention. After researching the stories of 250 women from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds, 69 excerpts from the original transcripts were chosen for acceptance into this book: LINK
