Becoming a WCCA intern is a great way to gain hands on experience.

Internships are considered a membership category: Interns receive one year free membership beginning the date of Internship activation. FREE training is offered to Interns with good merit ratings. Interns must be available as scheduled and accomplish assigned task as expected to remain active and in good merit.

NEWS PRODUCERS

Community Vision EVENING Editors.

INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Video Posting / Program Associate: STIPENDED POSITION
Responsibilities include processing and posting video to Internet Archive, creating hyperlinks to the WCCA TV website, importing image files, sending out notices promoting the posting. Involves capturing video footage, editing to assigned formats, uploading archived footage to the WCCA TV web page, uploading images and some web page components. Details made available upon assignment.
Requirements: Good communication and computer skills. The ability and capacity to follow through on time deadlines and work independently. To be dependable as needed and scheduled.
Prior video posting, blogging, editing and post production experience preferred.
Approximately 8 hours per week. LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENINGS
Supervisor: Executive Director or Programming Director

VIDEO EDITORS (Post Production):
Job includes completing edit assignments as needed. Assignments will include editing and assembling production content, news features, and graphic elements on a timely basis.
Requirements: Good communication and computer skills. The ability and capacity to follow through on time deadlines and to work independently. To be dependable as needed and scheduled.
Prior editing and post production experience preferred.
Approximately 8 hours per week
Supervisor: Community Vision News Director or (For KidsNet participants) KidsNet Coordinator

PRODUCTION / FACILITY ASSISTANT:
Job includes assisting video producers and directors on various WCCA programs including WCCA TV Community Vision News, Soapbox, Community Facilitator and Kids/Net Youth Channel.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, administration, production set ups, camera operations, simple offline and online editing, facility maintenance, general studio upkeep.
Requirements: Good communication and minimal computer skills. The ability and capacity to follow through on time deadlines andto work independently. To be dependable as needed and scheduled.
Team work experience preferred.
Approximately 8 hours per week
