12 Annual Juried Fine Arts & Craft Show held on the Sturbridge, MA Town Common, Main St., Rte 131 across from the Publick House Restaurant. Shop with over 30 of New Englands finest Artisans. All day music in the Bandstand, featuring the dynamic singing duo "Brumby", Mark Peter Schmidt and others. Food tent with homemade goodies and apple pie. Chinese auction of Artisan donated crafts. Held rain or shine. Sponsored by the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Phi Theta Kappa Annual Cookout at Quinsigamond Community College

The Alpha Zeta Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa from QCC is pleased to announce the Phi Theta Kappa Annual Cookout for Wednesday, September 17 at 11am to 5pm at QCC. It is located at the Fuller Lawn on 670 West Boylston St. in Worcester, MA.
All the proceeds go to the Birthday Wishes, Inc., a non-profit charitable organization that provides birthday parties to homeless children. Phi Theta Kapa members need the public support on making this event a success. Great entertainment such as live music and games, plenty of food around, and great prizes are raffled off for this event.

Please invite your families and friends to join in and support for this particular cause so that we can grant birthday parties to the local homeless children.

Dog lovers take notice – it’s the 7th annual Barktoberfest, the ONLY event that raises money for desperately needed medical care and supplies for the forgotten dogs in town pounds. Raise money by taking a Walk Fur Dogs (with or without a pooch). Enter your dog in the Best Trick, Best Booty Wiggle, Oldest, Looks Most Like Owner, Fastest Sit, and Highest Jump dog contests. Do you think your dog has the potential to be a frisbee champion? Catch the high-flying excitement of the Skyhoundz Local Championship hosted by the Yankee Flyers Dog and Disc Club – they’ll show you how it’s done. Experience a visit to our Dog Wellness Pavilion (featuring massage, T-Touch and Reiki, Ask the Vet, microchipping and nail clipping). Enjoy our fun food court, including delicious barbecue lunch and bake sale, and a silent auction. Admission to Barktoberfest is free. "Worcester's Best Chef" Culinary Event / Fundraiser - Sun, Jan 28th

As seen this week on "What It's Worth", Worcester’s Best Chef is a culinary competition taking place at the historic Union Station on Sunday, January 28, 2007, from 4 – 10 p.m featuring food sampling for all attendees by 25+ Restaurants!

A portion of the proceeds will go to Massachusetts Veterans, Inc. to benefit the Massachusetts Veterans Shelter's food service program, servicing homeless and impoverished veterans.

Cost to attend the event is $50. Please register online or by calling 508 616 9190. Your name will be on a guest list at the door.
