Operation Military Kids

One of the issues facing military youth and families is the lack of community awareness of the unique stressors and challenges that they face during times of conflict and war. This lack of understanding by the general public can make military youth feel isolated and misunderstood.

Teen Central and Speak Out for Military Kids are working together to do their part to increase awareness in our community about these important issues. To learn more about Operation Military Kids you can visit their site at www.operationmilitarykids.org

Check out the public service announcements that local youth recently made at WCCA TV13.

Operation Military Kids has also produced several workshops to help teachers, social workers and community members increase their own understanding about the issues faced by youth and families of deployed military.
